Fabric which release highly effective wide-area spatial mosquito repellents, creating full-time protection against both day-biting and night-biting mosquitoes at individual and household level.
What's the business opportunity for host and refugee community
The use of the mosquito repellent fabric will be effective both indoors and outdoors and in humanitarian crisis places such as in refugees’ camps where Indoor Residuals Spray (IRS) and long lasting Insecticides Treated Nets (LLINs) interventions is a challenge to use.
How has it been implemented and what impact it had
We are not yet in the market. We are now conducting the bioassay tests in semi-field environments to assess the efficacy of the our developed mosquitoes repellent fabric. The use of the mosquito repellent fabric will prevent mosquito bite, hence reduction in mosquito borne diseases including malaria.
